Connecting to a printer over the internet?

How would I go about, lets say, connecting one computer to a printer over the internet?

Computer A connects to Computer B over the internet. A sends printer document to print (Computer :thumbsup:

. Computer A renders job on computer and prints on printer. Computer B's person gives paper to Computer A's person in the morning.

Would there have to be a url setup or something?

Heres an absolutely FREE book that will help you beyond what you could imagine! This 970 Page down loadable tutorial in PDF format is a fully illustrated informative manual complete with an index!

IBM's TCP/IP TUTORIAL REDBOOK covers everything in a 7.5 Mb download at this link http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/Redbooks.nsf/R...ml?OpenDocument

Look for the PDF file link and click it and once its fully loaded, save it to your desktop.

By the way, you would use an IP address to assign to your printer, using a wireless router or HUB is the best way to connect printers to various computers, look for more info on this in the tutorial I have provided above.

I think simply setting the printer as a shared device on the network...provides access to both the printer and any selected documents..
