I have this problem that I honestly would not believe if I had not seen it for myself. I have a Crucial flash drive (either 4 or 8 GB not sure it's been a while), it was plugged into my computer and the usb port was a bit loose from the board. I noticed intermittent connectivity of the device, I mean like a few seconds it would work, then it would disconnect, then reconnect, then disconnect etc.. So I pulled drive from the port because the notifications were annoying me, and now when I plug the drive into any port on any computer the computer does not recognize the device. i believe that the part of the flash drive that contains the device ID is corrupt, and i basically just need to know how to force windows to use a drive of my choice for it. I'm currently on Windows 7 home premium 32-bit, but have access to any version of windows from 7 ultimate 64 back to 95. I don't really care about the drive itself, i just want the data off it.
