BleepingComputer.com: slow start up

I have a HP Pavilion dv200 notebook (NB) running wins XP PRO, service pack 2, ntfs 88Gb with about 37 free GB; the processor is 1.60 gigahertz AMD Turion 64 X2 with 16 kilobyte primary memory cache and 512 kilobyte secondary memory cache. I am running Int Exp version 8.

When I turn on the PC it takes about 4 minutes and 5 seconds to open windows.

I have deleted all photos, misc programs not used, have deleted all history, temp files, cookies and have deleted all restore points but the last one.
Ran MSCONFIG and shut down or disabled any programs I did not want to start...
Ran Cleaner, avg also updated all my programs
There was no change still about 4 minutes to open

Any suggestions to bring this to a reasonable time frame would be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking, you also ought to take a close look at your startup items, using a real startup manager tool (not msconfig). Included among such:

...and the tool I like best, AutoRuns for Windows - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx. Users need to be careful with this one since it lists ALL items (Windows files, drivers, typical startup items, etc.) which initiate at boot. The typical startup items are listed on the Logon tab.
