This link is the chipset drivers for your laptop, which may not have been updated. Download and install.

Ahh, I'm very sorry for not having replied in such a long time MrBruce. I've just been a bit tied up with finals/final projects, etc... and I'm still not done. I will get to trying your last advice as soon as I get a bit of time.
I've also decided to get a new laptop since I think it's time I get and upgrade, but I still very much wish to fix my HP.

Okay good luck with the finals, I myself at the age of 50 have decided to attend a university to refine my knowledge of computer science tech courses.
