Hello all.

By way of introduction let me say that I have worked with and on computers for many years, including designing and attempting to build an 8-bit based system <mumble, mumble> years ago in college.

I seems that I have hit the 'new information' event horizon, and am having trouble keeping up with stuff. But I still know enough to be dangerous, and when things are not working as they should. So I have signed up here looking for some nimbler minds to help me.

Thanks in advance!

Keeping up with computing changes is a major task, especially in all its different aspects. Everyone here helps one another by sharing knowledge, expertise, and experience in various areas that others might not keep up with.
