Sometime ago my laptop's hard drive broke and I ended up buying a new drive, but my computer did not turn on. Recovery disks weren't working so I ended up calling a computer guy who installed a torrented version of Windows XP PRO, everything but the sound worked.
My problem:
Speakers cannot play sound, yet when I plug in headphones I can hear music.
Built in mic no longer works.
I have a DV6000 hp pavilion laptop, I've done everything including reinstalling drivers and checking volume control.
I can't use Windows update because I dont have a genuine version of windows, any help here...
