Hello everybody. I pick up some malware yesterday.. To be specific: AntiSpyware soft... Pretty tough to knock out but i got.. But in the proccess of cleaning my PC i found this with the Bit Defender online Scan:
Found 1 infected file!
----------------------
C:\WINDOWS\asam.exe --> Backdoor.Agent.AAOS
--> Process asam.exe (2092)
So i found the file on my PC using the search file with WinXP and then scanned the file with Malawarebytes and got this:
mbam-log-2010-04-24 (12-42-43).txt
Scan type: Quick scan
Objects scanned: 1
Time elapsed: 6 second(s)
Memory Processes Infected: 0
Memory Modules Infected: 0
Registry Keys Infected: 0
Registry Values Infected: 0
Registry Data Items Infected: 0
Folders Infected: 0
Files Infected: 0
Also scanned the file with SpyBot with basically the same results... I check out the resources on the Bleeping site and goggled it with no results... So i'm wondering what exactly this file is and if i can delete it?
As always thanks for your help,,

Hello,
Without knowing the file path it is impossible to say if it is safe to remove a file. It appears that there might be leftovers of the infection on the computer. Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==.
Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<==
If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then post back here and we will provide you with further instructions.
