Forgive my ignorance if there is a proper "forum etiquette" that I don't follow, but this is my first time posting to a forum. My problem is this; I have a computer (AMD Quad Core 2.5Ghz with a 1.5GB video card, 750Gb Hard drive, and 4Gb of ram) A respectable setup if you ask me, and it's awesome when it works, but it will intermittently stop responding. I originally had windows XP 64 bit on it, with a bunch of games that I loaded in short order. I noticed the problem after a bit of game play, and it seemed to be getting worse, so I did multiple scans for viruses and Malware (found nothing major) and figured maybe something had hit the OS core files, so I had a copy of Windows 7 available and did an upgrade to windows 7 x64. It again seemed really good for a little while, but then still locks up intermittently. Now I didn't have this problem with an older motherboard, but I switched it out because the old one did not support my HD audio and the front port USB were bad due to an improperly manufactured jumper. I'm pretty sure it's something with the motherboard, and don't want to swap out because I'm able to use the on-board graphics in hybrid form with the video card which made the whole thing a screaming budget upgrade
