I have a dual monitor setup w/ an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT card with 2 DVI ports connected. The color output is different on both monitors - and no amount of fiddling with the color settings will change it - something seems to be wrong with one of the ports - I've tested the monitors, ano different set of monitors, the cables & all of it points to the port. Almost as if it's giving too much light juice  to one of the monitors.

So I'd like to upgrade my card & hopefully fix the issue as it's really old anyway.

But should I buy a card with two DVI outs standard or does it matter? Does a card with one DVI out & one VGA/Sub-D produce the same output?

Thanks for any help!

dvi is digital output and therefore will produce a crisper image by rule.
if you want to put out to 2 true dvi monitors then get dual dvi out.

Are the monitors identical models?
