It has come to my attention, that there could be some of you. Who may not know how to upload an avatar.
You know the images some members have under thier names. This is a great way to add a personal touch.

*Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 200 KB.
The following file types are allowed: gif .jpeg .jpg .swf .png

First you must save an image to your hard drive.
Do this by right clicking on it.
Then click on > save picture as
Now a dialog box will show.
Clear the field (box) and give the image any name you want.
Doing so helps to find it when needed.
Click > save

Look at the top of Bleeping Computer page
You will see > My Control Panel <---- This is your BC control panel
Click on that
Now once in
Look at the left hand side of the page
Look for and click on:
Personal Profile
Click on > Edit Avatar Settings

Look under > Your image avatars
Upload a new image from your computer

click on > browse

Navigate to your Pictures folder.
Unless it already shows.

Highlight your choice. By clicking on the one you want.
Then click > open
The file name of the image you choose should now show in the field
box next to browse

Finally click on > Update avatar

If you want to use one of the sites default avatars. This is how to do it.
Look at the top of Bleeping Computer page
You will see > My Control Panel <---- This is your BC control panel
Click on that
Now once in
Look at the left hand side of the page
Look for and click on:
Personal Profile
Click on > Edit Avatar Settings

Next look for pre installed avatars
Choose an avatar from one of our galleries

There will be a drop down menu of all the choices.
Pick one and click Go
You will now see the page of the selection you choose.
If you like one of them.
Click > Use Selected avatar
If you want to look around at more.
Click > cancel avatar gallery
Then you will be back at the beginning.
So you will now need to choose from the drop down menu again etc.

*Please do keep in mind. That any images that are displayed at Bleeping Computer can not be deemed offensive.

Have fun! smile.gif
