Edward1978,

If you want to try a different browser try SRWare Iron, it is based on the same open code as Chrome but it doesn't report anywhere like Chrome does with Google. I've been using it off and on for a month and it is a speedy lite devil. But the main browser I use is Opera. There are a couple of great skins that eliminate the the blue Internet bar from the top give giving you more screen to play with. The only tool bars I am currently running in 10.51 are the Tab and Address bars giving maximum screen and if you auto hide the task bar not a bit of wasted screen. Any menu access you need is in the upper left hand corner under the drop down arrow beside the quarter O. It is also quite the speed demon, and a lot safer than any IE browser.

I just tried it, and it looks and feels just like chrome and i don't like the look and feel of chrome and i just hate chrome in general. I'm sticking to Firefox.

Yeah, I've used IE8 (hate it with a passion), Firefox (loved it since the first day and always will), Safari (opens faster than FF, but lacks the customization of FF, no addons, etc.), Google Chrome (opens lightning fast, fairly simple...once again, it just doesn't come up to par with Firefox).

I'm about to try Opera just for the heck of it. Doubt I'll keep it.

Hmmm...Opera looks like a cross between Safari and Chrome....not impressed.

Haha...Chrome, Opera, and Safari all claim to be the fastest browser on earth. :flowers:

Firefox only claims to be the best....and I would have to agree, in my opinion. :trumpet:

Edward1978,

If you still have IE 7 or 8 installed try running it with no add-ons maybe one of the old IE 6 add-ons has set up a conflict causing a slow down.

For keyboardNinja and computerxpds Chrome, Firefox and Safari all borrowed heavily from Opera with Tabs and Skins coming from there.

That's a possibility.

Yeah, I suspected Opera was the oldest of the bunch...and after a quick Wikipedia check, my suspicion was confirmed. So it only follows that ideas were "borrowed" from it.

It all comes down to personal preference. And I prefer Firefox. :trumpet:

Nothing shocking about personal preference. That's what the world go round. Besides gravity that is!
