Hello from Baltimore Maryland. I am a PC user, have an old desktop running Windows XP operating system. I have a lot of experience surfing the web, (googling) and using Windows office apps, but I still know very little about the nuts and bolts of how pcs function. I'm thinking I should study some kind of A + certification course. I found this forum and thought it may be very helpful as occasionally I run into problems that I am unable to resolve on my own.

Welcome. Unless you want to work in the field, I'm not sure if A+ certification is worth the effort (time & money). Maybe you could look into classes on PC Repair at the local community college or adult learning center.
