When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Thanks for info on this un-wanted search bar. I was curious as to how it got there--now I know-not from getting free smilies or free screensavers--but from DELL. This was on a new machine from DELL--the date of install of the program was the day that I put the machine in operation!!! Also AD-Aware(recently updated) did not bother with it. I still wonder how come the program didn't direct me to the bfc.myway.com site. I'm thinking perhaps that the other search hooks have "precidence" (Earthlink). HMM--Anyway I'm removing it anyway--Tks for your input. :flowers:

MyWay and IWon seem to be on the Spybot list, but not on Ad-Aware's; at the current time, there are no standards for what precisely counts as spyware, adware, etc., so each company sets it's own criteria. That is why you need more than one anti-spyware application on your computer.

Most computer retailers tend to add a lot of gunk to the hard drive, not to help users, but to help lower their costs and increase their profit; most of these can, and should, be deleted.

Regards,
John
