Hi BC mods,
For a while now, my hotmail account has been sending all sorts of spam on its own. It's become so frequent (several times daily) that my friends are on my case about it. I rarely use this particular account for e-mail purposes, but it is used on a daily basis for messenger, facebook among other things. It seems like a virus, but if my hard drive is to blame, it's too late because it's dead now. Can I fix this dilemma without having to delete my account???

Thanks,
The Seventh Son

Hello The7thSon

It sounds like your account information may have become compromised. By far the safest, smartest, and most secure course of action would be to close that account. However, you may try simply changing your password. Make sure you use a clean computer (one that isn't infected with malware), and make sure to use a strong, complex password that you do not use elsewhere.

Alternatively, you can try contacting Hotmail and see what they recommend.

Hope that helps,

~Blade

Blade,

My apologies for not responding; I did change my password and that did the trick. Thank you very much!
