Malwarebytes is the only program I recommend on that list of tools.

1) Norton is a system hog.

2) CCleaner can cause system issues

3) TuneUP Utilities is a one stop shop for major headaches.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

oh, What would you recommend over Norton 360, as i find Norton saves me a lot from viruses n stuff

I only use the "Cleaner" bit where it cleans up recycle bin, and temp files i don't use the registry cleaner.

And i didn't get what you ment about tune up utlities :D

Avast, Avira, NOD32, McAfee, and a few others are all better then Norton.

TuneUP Utilities can cause major issues on your computer.

Oh Snap, i've alraedy gone through everything with TuneUp, it hasn't really affected my PC but i may be wrong.

Are you should you would recommend them over Norton 360, Would Avast do the same type of Realtime protect as Norton does?

Ok so this is what I'm planning to do.

Uninstall Norton 360, and replace it with Avast Anti Virus Home Edition and most likely buy a paid version if there is one.

Uninstall TuneUp Utlities and try restore all the changes it has done, and replace that with "Advance SystemCare Pro" :D?

Is that ok, or should i not use them tools like Advance System Care http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html

aaah! I have a massive problem

I uninstalled Norton and then it told me to restart so i did as it said, and now when my PC loads up, it just stays completely black, all i can see is my mouse and i can only move my mouse around.

Please help, it's stayed black for like 10mins, and I've even tried booting in safemode.
