Hi....
Few days back I bring SAMSUNG 80GB Hard Disk to take backup of my original HDD which is from SEGATE.
I couldnt find port so that I can connect data cable from SAMSUNG HDD to SEGATE HDD or motherboard.
Data cable of SAMSUNG HDD is much different its slim with 7pins on both side.
Can anybody help me in this matter?

Thanks in advance.....

old hard drive is a wide ribbon cable?
new hard drive is probably SATA
you will need a controller card to use it if your computer is too old.

This is most likely the correct solution and I agree.

There are still E-IDE drives available, also known as PATA drives, which will connect directly to your E-IDE port.

Other than that, follow what meuchel suggested above.
Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.
Thank you for understanding my absence, it is job and college related, so all is good. If I do not answer your PMs this is the reason why. See you all soon!

Bruce.
