I get the above whenever I try anything with an audio output. The little speaker in the launch bar has a red cross in it indicating there is no sound available.
Device manager looks as if it has 2 'High Definition Audio' parts to it.
I have tried un-installing powering down and restarting the computer but nothing works.

Have you tried re-installing again the driver ?
Could the driver be corrupted or you have used the same driver before and worked?

Yes. A few time and in the various ways. That is uninstalled the drivers, Powered down. Switched back on. It still says 'no audio devices are installed' on this computer.

I have let it look for driver updates etc. online and it says the best drivers are already installed ....

PS edited to say that there is no sound board as such, it's the onboard sound I'm trying to get it to use. Maybe Vist itself is corrupted?

Could you post model/make of your mother board and also the make/model of the speakers you are using.
For your PC specs, download CPUZ.
