Help
Hey guys,
At the moment i have a Q6600 OC'ed to 3.4GHz, 1.48Vcore and 1.4V-FSB. I'm on liquid with it and the temps have gone up to 40C. It's obvious to expect a big temp increase with overclocking but stock i was sitting around 25-30C, is there a cooling issue i should be worried about or is this normal? Also, burn test usually makes it hit 50-55C.

the limit for that CPU is somewhere between 60-63 C, so even under stress your safe there. As long as it runs stable with no issues, Id say you have nothing to worry about there with those temps.

It's not so-much i think its' a cpu problem, i just wanna make sure my liquid cooling system is ok. it's a Bigwater 760is.

well, I don't delve to much into liquid cooling, nor much with core2 CPUs, but I do know the intel pentium line runs hot and I suspect a c2q does to, but like I said the threshold for that chips is 62.2C, though ive read of people pushing it to 70C. as long as its running stable, I would not worry about even 55 C under load, personally. If your not convinced, pull the cooler off, clean off the thermal paste, and reapply, make sure all the fans are going, etc. But if it was sitting at 29C before o/c Id say its running right, its just getting hot from running faster then it was designed to do, but its nowhere near the danger point.
