My Comodo firewall recently warned me that Avast was trying to execute the sf.bin file. Then right after another warning popped up warning me that sf.bin was trying to access a protected interface, the aswMonFltProxy\ADVAPI32.dll.

Are those legitimate actions done by Avast? Should I allow it or not?

Edit: The warning popped up while I was installing the Cumulative Security Update for IE 8 through Windows Update.

Yes, SF.bin is a legitimate file used by Avast.
