We have 2 computers at home, but currently only one is connected to the internet through a cable modem. The cable modem uses the computer's RJ-45 slot so the computer's network card is umm... occupied, so to speak.
So my question is, how do I connect my computers so they can share the same internet connection? will I have to buy a hub or what?
They both have NICs and are running Win XP

The easiest way is to buy a router. I found the basic Linksys at Walmart will do the trick for a two or three computer net. It' only $40 +-. The next one up has a print server. If you use a print server you will not have to leave both computers on to network a common printer. The $0 approach is to run Network Wizard thru your second computer and select "accessing the network thru another computer". It should be that simple.
Good luck.
Good luck.
