Hello from Iowa (but you smart guys probably already know that...) just got rid of koobface, I am researching how bad I am comprimised

Hello, My mother recommended this site. Normally i wouldn't be so subject to a worm/virus/trojen, but I had eye surgery last week. Inevitably, a friend sent me a link the next day with a virus attached. I was blind, it's not my fault I swear.

at any rate, I spent the last three days removing koobface and a bunch of trojans from my wife's computer with malwarebytes. The worm wouldn't let me access safer-networking.org or malwarebytes.org. So it was a real hassle involving oter computers and downloading, and flash drives, and FML. :thumbsup:

At any rate, I think her computer is clean now. I just want to know what the koobface was up to for three days while I was trying to get rid of it. Is it malicous as in trying to get financial information? just a PITA or what.

About me: I am a mechanical engineer for a large Diesel equipment company. I ride motorcycles, and I am also a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Instructor. 2 kids, a wife, a cat, a couple of evil goldfish, pretty typical stuff. I will be lurking for a while and researching. Thanks!
