BleepingComputer.com: Cannot update windows or antivirus: SOLVED!!

I have been fighting for a week to resolve the issue where neither Windows nor virtually any antivirus/antimalware cannot update or cannot access site. I have searched everywhere...until last night.

The answer is surprisingly simple: If what scans you've made come up with nothing, simply reset your router. Most routers apparently have a little pinhole on the back that is used to reset the router. Insert a pin in the hole, hold it until the lights on the front blink off, then let go (about 10 seconds).

As soon as I did this, everything worked perfectly!!

There are a lot of tech sites that seem to have overlooked this, which is a shame. I found the solution on a tech site that addressed a specific virus, but the solution worked!
