I have an Acer widescreen monitor on my computer. Usually, the power light is yellow when the monitor is unplugged/not working, and blue when it's working correctly. However, the monitor came unplugged a few days ago while the computer was off. I plugged it in again, and the screen turned back on and everything was working fine. However, despite the fact that the monitor is on and working correctly, the power light is now constantly yellow. This isn't a major problem because the monitor still works, but I'd still like to know why it's doing this. I've tried everything to return it to normal, including turning the monitor on and off, unplugging and replugging it, and the light simply refuses to turn blue. What's going on?

Have you checked the owners manual for troubleshooting procedures? Those are usually found near the back section of the manual.

If you can not find a solution, please post back the acer model number and we'll see if we can help you.
Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.
Thank you for understanding my absence, it is job and college related, so all is good. If I do not answer your PMs this is the reason why. See you all soon!

Bruce.

It's an Acer V223W. Does that help?

I found a copy of your Acer V223W manual and although theres not much in the troubleshooting section, I found this information.

Amber: Check if the video signal cable is properly connected at the back of monitor.

Check if the computer system is switched on and in power saving/standby mode.

You may have the computer's graphics settings set to power saving mode, you may want to check that setting.
