I literally just booted a new dell 1557 with windows 7. The synaptic touchpad drivers didn't let me scroll, so I downloaded the driver from dell's website. Upon reboot, it kept looping back to the bios screen. I try safemode, but it stops at classpnp.sys every time. Startup repair also freezes after about 10 minutes. Suggestions? If I can uninstall the driver from the command prompt somehow that might help me...

When you say startup repair are you refering to using the Windows 7 installation DVD repair or an OEM Dell system repair disk?
Please take notice. Oreo and I will not be available until June of 2012.

Did your Windows 7 operating system come already installed on this Dell and is your Windows 7 operating system on a Dell labled dvdrom disk?
