Help
Ok so I have a Netgear Range Max Next WNR834Bv2 router. I have an incredibly slow internet connection when using the wireless. I went to the time warner speedtest and I only registered a 1.18 mbps DL speed and a .57 UL speed. I thought it to be strange because I should be running 10Mbps at least on my wireless connection. So i hard wired my laptop to the ethernet cord, which is an hp pavilion dv6500, and then I registered 33Mbps DL and 1Mbps UL. Which is what it should be. So now I am stuck because i cannot find any kind of good troubleshooting tips on Netgears website. Is it my router that is the problem, should I get a new one? Is it something else? Is there certain settings that can be causing this? Thank you please help.

Anytime I have a problem with wireless, the first thing I do is completely uninstall the wireless card and install it with the latest drivers. Download the latest drivers for the card then uninstall the wireless card from Device Manager and any software in Add/Remove programs( or whatever its called in Vista/Win7 ), reboot and install it with the latest drivers.
