My computer is facing a problem,I have windows XP professional Sp2 , in which the Start Menu and Taskbar at the bottom of my screen is missing. It is a suspected virus , even though i have installed Qucikheal 2010 Anti-Virus it is not detecting any virus. ANd my system restore is also not working.

Please provide your valuable inputs to my problem and looking forward towards the solutions.

P.S - I am also not able to Copy and paste any of the files in my PC. ( i wanted to take a backup of imp. documents on a usb pen drive)

Thanks alot

DO a ctrl+alt+delete and see if explorer.exe is running, and what is Quick Heal? Sounds like one of those fake anti-virus programs.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

the main problem i am facing is of MY copy-paste command not working , if it works i would be a ble to take the backup of all my imp. data and just simply re-install my windows after formating my Hard drive.

I just want to know, anyother alternative for copy and pasting files to a USB drive of my other partition
