I recently have had problems with my networking to the point I couldn't use my printers. I uninstalled them thinking I would simply do a reinstall and that would fix the problem.

When I go to reinstall it asks for a hardware address or IP address to reinstall and I can't find any of the info.

I have a HP1200, HP1220, HP450 printers going thru a LINKSYS print server.

I can go thru the network thru command prompt, find the printers and print test pages fine, but when I try to print it says it can't find the printers.

Please Help.

Thanks

I just went into command prompt again and typed:

\\SERVER\HP 1200

It said I need to set up the printer for my computer before I could use it and asked if I wanted to continue.

I clicked yes it browsed and set up the printer automatically on my computer and I printed a test page so it works fine.

The HP 1220 I've always had trouble printing to in fact Ive never been able to so this doesn't suprise me. I did the same thing I did with HP 1200 and it says \\SERVER\HP could not be found.

My initial question was asked 9/15/5. I couldn't print to any of my printers and I couldn't reinstall my printers because I couldn't find the IP Address or the Hardware address.

Since I have had no type of response on how to find the information requested to reinstall the printers on my computer I'm just using the server instead.

Yeah, Basically everything I just said is on the origional post.

Confused??
