IE7 Running slow

My IE7 is running very slow, its running at dial-up speed, I'm running the same IE programme on my laptop and it is heaps faster than my PC. How can I rectify this

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same thing?

Same issue with any other browser?

I do not think that IE7 came with the no addons option. I know IE8 did.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.
