Hi,

I have been experiancing weird internet problems recently. Google searches redirected (google.2resluts.com), seems to be fixed, no way to retrieve updates from the following: Ad-Aware, Malewarebytes, Windows updates. Error on all of those saying there is a problem with my internet connection or error 404.

I cannot either acces software that uses computers internet connection.

I scanned with all of the above.

I can use internet but 50% will redirect to unwanted sites (adds or fake antivirus)

XP SP3
IE 7... updated to 8 yesterday.
Firefox... same issue.

Tried different test sites and seems like I cannot use any websites requiring SSL and TSL encryption.

It would be EXTREMELY appreciated if someone would have any clue.

Best regards,

Sounds like something has changed your DNS server address to block anti malware and anti virus update sites. RUn an ipconfig /all from your command line and see what it has listed as a DNS server my guess is that it's not correct. I had this same issue a couple of weeks ago with my daughter's computer.
If you have a home network youcan verify the correct DNS server by running the same command on the computer that is able to access the update sites.

7 different what computers? If so go to one of them and run the command above to verify your DNS server it should have come from your ISP.

Can you post a screen shot of the output so I can get a look at it?

It would be best if you didnt hide the IP addresses. Makes troubleshooting even more difficult, can you post the same image with no edits.
