Tried to transfer OUTLOOK from one account to another- major problem!!!

So basically I had attempted to do an export of PST and import it into a new computer's profile for Outlook 2003. I had many subfolders; however, the problem was the subfolders under inbox all ended up going to the INBOX and not sorted into the subfolders. Should I be going about this another way?
