Our cable for the internet comes in the basement on the other side of the house that I am trying to set up a Canon ip100 printer for printing from laptops in the living room. I also would like to set up our LG BD370 blue ray player to play netflix. Our laptops connect to the wireless system great in the living room. It would be really hard to run a cable across the finished basement to hook up to wired modem, and was wondering if I could use a wireless system to work with our Netgear Wireless G system. I was wondering what I have to purchase to make this work????

I checked out your printer and it does not appear to have a network adapter built-in. You will either need to have a Bluetooth purchased for it separately, or, somewhat easier in my eyes, you need to buy a print server.

This device is wireless and will be able to work with your router. It will also allow you to have four additional ethernet ports to which you will be able to connect your BlueRay player. You would need to check with the manufacturer, however, if it works with your printer.

More expensive, but at the same time more reliable solution would be to buy a pair of powerline ethernet adapters and a wired print server.

and, for example,
