Taskbar has the dropseys

Each time I restart my computer (Latitude D820, XP Pro SP3) I have to re-stock the taskbar. The Quick Launch Icons disappear so I have to do reinstruct the taskbar show them. The toolbars disappear so I have to reinstruct the taskbar to show those as well. Why and how do I fix it?

Right click the taskbar>properties and see in the box if "hide the taskbar is checked".

Try creating a new profile, and see if it does it then.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.
