I had this issue before I upgraded to Windows 7, but sadly I forgot how I fixed it.

First I will explain my little network. I have a linksys router with dd-wrt firmware on it. My desktop is plugged into my router along with my xbox, and my laptop uses wireless. Both have Windows 7 Pro installed and are in the same homegroup.

Now my issues. I can easily view the files on my desktop from my laptop, but nothing appears when I try to look at my laptop files from my desktop. Regular sharing on the network works tho. Another issue is that my xbox easily finds my desktop but can't find my laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have anything shared on the lap top, and does the lap top allow file sharing?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.
