BleepingComputer.com: Reverted to XP On Laptop

Hi,

My laptop has a web Cam built into it
sound card,
Switch to wireless mode,
Press and hold the Fn Functionality button to activate other options eg; brighten up screen or raise and lower volume etc...
That all worked when I had vista installed, but when I installed XP Professional, things have strangely disappeared eg web cam not working and the little sound symbol that you get in the bottom right hand corner isn't there and the other things I have mention above.
Will some one be as kind to offer advice on what too do?

Here's what I have done to try to fix it I bought a program Driver Robot and reinstalled all little drivers you don't think about. Amongst Installing it all I managed to install a sound hardware called Sigma Tel Audio which doesn't work at all.
When you click on device manager you'll find it has a quotation mark on it.

Are laptops built to a default windows which can only be the "Only" windows installed on it??

The screen shot: open up what you want to "take a picture" of on your desktop. Press CTRL and Print Screen Buttons. Open MSpaint and paste into paint.

The Hardware ID: Open the Device manager ( click start, run and type devmgmt.msc press enter ) Double click on the piece of hardware then click on the details tab.

You can alternatively copy and paste the Hardware ID's in your next post by Highlighting the line you want and pressing CTRL-C then clicking on your post and pressing CTRL-V.

Unfortunately, I'm not seeing anything.

It might be easier for your to copy down the hardware id's and just type them in here for the time being.

My appolgies for holding you up tech extreame, I went and figgered out how to put an image on there after all.

What make and model laptop is this?

I had an error when I'd tried to install that driver you sent me..

"Setup has detected that the service Pack version of this system is new than the update you are applying there is no need to install this update"

When I goto media player and Click on a song I get this error:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

Ok. I was afraid of that.

The part that is missing is the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture update for your computer. You can get it one of two ways.

1. You can run automatic updates on your machine and it should be part of the updates.
2. You can refer here and request the Hotfix from Microsoft.

You can also go here and input the information that Asus is asking for and then pick your OS. You will have all pertinent drivers for your laptop.
