I checked HP's web site (I assume you have too), and they are showing none for Windows 7.

That laptop is going on 4 years old (release date), and they are not going to provide any. Have you tried the Vista 64-bit drivers?

I think, you're asking us to solve some issue, which simply can't be solved.
Firstly, when you try switch OS, you look, if the drivers are out there, not the other way around.
I suppose, you'll have to settle for some OS, which is supported by your hardware.

Or just go without sound....and proper graphics card drivers. But yeah, that machine is too old to have Windows 7 support. Sorry.

Thanks garmanma for the suggestion, that card is quite expensive but i shall consider it as i love this laptop and plan to keep it for a very long time to come, also there are display drivers that work fine.

Thanks to most who contributed good information.

It appears that your sound card is part of your modem, and unfortunately I am unable to find any drivers for it even for 64bit Vista.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.
