Hi every one.

I want to play GTA IV on good settings ( medium).

MSY has a HD 4670 1GB card for $72 , with 1400MHz DDR3 Ram , 650 MHz core and 128 bit memory.
Centrecom has HD 4670 512 MB card for $84 , with 2000MHz DDR3 ram , 750 MHz and 128 bit memory.
Which one will it be ?

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 240 Dual Core 2.8 MHz.
2GB of DDR 3 1333MHz ram.
Native screen size:1280x1024.
Current Card HD 4200 ( onboard )

1GB will never be utilized effectively on that card, more so when running at 1280x1024.

So a 512MB HD4670 (2000MHz DDR3 ram/ 750 MHz Core) should be a decent buy!

order online, Id rather pay 10 extra bucks for a good saphire card. and why dont you go for a 5670 instead?

It would add 40 dollars more and benchmarks show that it don't improve FPS much.

ya, I forgot about the australian to american exchange rate I see your point, the only thing the 5670 really offers better then the 4670 is directx11. if thats not important to you, then 40 bucks really isnt worth it.

Sapphire, would the brand of choice.

I have never used an ASUS video card, though they do make great motherboards so the logical assumption would be that the video cards would be good as well. Saphire would be the brand of choice, but if thats not available, get the best one you can get your hands on. After Saphire I normally recomend HIS, gigabyte, and powercolor and I dont see any bad reviews about ASUS. I would definitly go ASUS before another ATI brand like MSI, XFX, diamond, or visiontec.

Sapphire brand is carried in-store at all the Staples stores around here along with PNY, you might be overlooking them because they are mainly office supplies.

ASUS cards are pretty decent.

Apart from the brand consideration, also look at the warranty being offered by each brand.
