Recently my Dell Inspiron B130 has been having a problem when it attempts to hibernate. It gets stuck on the "Preparing To Hibernate" screen forever. I left it last night and when I woke up this morning it was still there. My laptop is running Windows XP Home with SP3. I use MBAW and SASW all the time and I have Trend Micro AV which is run a few times a week. I saw that Microsoft has a Crash Analysis tool but when I went to the site, it told me that it couldn't find what I was looking for (way to go Microsoft).

Otherwise, the computer has been running fine. I only seem to have this problem when running on battery power and the battery is about to die.

The problem with reality is the lack of background music

How much ram do you have?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

This only happens when the battery is about to die. I don't choose to put the computer in a hibernate state.

Do you leave it plugged in over night?

Try reinstalling your video driver and see if that helps:

Always. It's plugged in more often than not.

If its plugged in all the time, then battery should never die, and you wouldn't be having these hibernation issues.
