dont ask why. its no big deal if no one knows, but:

does anyone know where i can get a FREE text maker program?

i type FREE and text creator, but it always takes me to things that are FREE* trials. i dont want a stupid free trial. i want freeware. like my name implies.

Go here:http://www.snapfiles.com/main.html Click freeware and search for text editors and anything else you need. There are some great graphics tools.

Hi Mr_Freeware

We all like to have free programs. That are just as good as thier commercial counter parts.

As a matter of fact, there is a pinned topic, relating to this.

Freeware replacements for common commercial apps

by text editor what i think i meant was a FONT maker/editor. these are all things like notepad and such. i was looking for something that actually lets you make or edit fonts.

Do you mean fonts, icons or avatars?

I found a couple that were free to try, of which the best appears to be:
http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/Pixel-Font-...2-10168880.html

Yet another page indicates that some versions of Windows have a font-editor already (Eudcedit.exe ); vide:

http://www.pcplus.co.uk/tips/default.asp?p...ubsectionid=390

There is also an open source font editor which is currently a Beta release but appears to be fairly stable that you might try:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fontforge/

While I have not tried any of these, they appear to be spyware/adware free. Hope this helps or gets you on the right direction.

Regards,
John
