Hi,

I have an old desktop with xp sp3 installed and 40 gb of hdd and 256 mb ram .. Now i am going to add an extra hdd of 160 gb with 512 mb of ram .. now the thing is the old hd is partioned to c,d,e,f .. c has win 98 and f has music files .. e has xp and f drive others .. c is empty .. but the rest of hard drive are full .. now i want to move my xp from the old e drive to new hdd which i am going to install .. i dont want to format and reinstall it.. because xp is original and i dont have the cd or the key with me and the same goes for few of the other softwares has well. Even if i can't move it .. can i make my e drive bigger so that new files can be added (mainly xp's updates files which gets added plus temp files of kaspersky which takes huge space).

Please do explain a bit elaborately .. i am not familiar with the process.

Thanks.

IMO, the best thing to do would be to clone the partition/drive to new hard drive...and then worry about your size allocations, etc.

You need to read all directions for the above program...before doing anything.
