clock and date in the toolbar..

hai..why my computer always have problem with date and time? when i fixed the date and time..it will become an old date and time when i turned on my dekstop back..for example right now is 3pm..i turn off my computer..then when i turn on my computer the time is 3.30 pm whereas the time at that time is 5pm..can anyone tell me what is the problem..thanks..

Most likely, you need to replace CMOS battery.

My guess, you haven't set your Time Zone.
If that's not set your Time, will always be wrong.
Everytime you Start your Computer,your time is adjusting to the wrong Time Zone.

FWIW: CMOS Battery Replacement - http://www.liverepair.com/encyclopedia/art...cmosreplace.asp. You can ignore the suggestion to write down BIOS/CMOS settings before replacing, the system should default to the settings designed to boot the system.
