What does Popeye and Computers have in common? They both get their power from spinach! You heard me right. Researchers at MIT are doing research on powering computers with spinach.
This power is derived from the photosynthesis process found in plants. The problem in the past has been that there has was no workable way to connect the computers to the organic matter without one of them having problems. That is until Shuguang Zhang, associate director of MIT's Center for Biomedical Engineering, found a way to keep the photosynthesis proteins alive up to 3 weeks while being connected to electronics. So eat your spinach people! -------------------- Lawrence
