When I try to download anything and try to open it I will get various errors such as "install package error 207" or file package is corrupt (fails \NCRC checks). I started noticing it when I had lots of trouble trying to update flash in Firefox 3.6. It will not run the .xpi file that the adobe download manager brings. I have tried manually installing it and also following all tutorials on fully uninstalling the previous version but nothing seems to work. It has almost got to the point where I need to change browser. Help.

Try removing Firefox 3.6 and installing 3.5.8. I have been to many sites and a few people have problems with 3.6.

- Check your disk for errors using CheckDisk tool in Windows. Errors on disk can corrupt new files being written to it.
- Create a new user profile in Firefox, the current profile may be corrupt. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles
