I have an Hp Vista That will not power on. The Green light underneath the power plug stays steady Green but When I press the power button to turn on computer, Nothing happens. My sister gave me the computer so It came to me this way. I took it apart and notice one of the cooling fans body was not attached. so it was flopping around inside. well I found a penny bouncing around inside and figured it somehow cause the computer to short or Blow the power supply.. Am I correct in thinking this.. is there anything else that could have gone wrong and if I need a power supply, how much does one cost. Thank you

Wow a "penny" for your thoughts (so to speak) LOL.
A loose cooling fan can cause damage to various components if it hits one hard enough during handeling of the computer.
I assume your saying the penny was inside the power sending unit, (kids are great for playing "piggy bank" with expensive electronic devices)
PSU's range in a variety of prices any where from $50.00 to $350.00 USD.
Try going to http://www.newegg.com and looking for PSU's there, you might find some for cheap.
As long as you have not damaged the motherboard its self, a new PSU might help, but if the motherboard was shorted out while it was powered on, chances are you have a dead motherboard, which is cost prohibited to have repaired.
