Do these problems happen when your dad's computer is turned on and connected to the network in your house?

1) Are you able to use OpenDNS at your leisure, or once you sign up for it, are you using it all the time?
2) If able to use OpenDNS at your leisure, does it take long to turn it "on" and "off"?
Was wondering this because my dad would not want me to be using this program we know nothing about just so I can play my game when it goes down once a month or so.
Thanks for your help,
Josh

To stop using it, go to the same Properties and choose Automatically Assign.
Once you enter it, it only affects your computer, so will not affect any other machine.
It is a very respected site and is used by a lot of businesses. It is my preference because it is very secure and will simply not connect to a Conficker infected site.

When you said this on this first page "If you want to try it, go into the connection properties and uncheck Automatically Assign. Enter 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the boxes." Does this mean under Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings or does it mean under OpenDNS Settings?
Just wondering because I don't see any option that looked like "To stop using it, go to the same Properties and choose Automatically Assign" under OpenDNS.
Or is it like in this video ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf8Rgw6A6y0?

Go into your Control Panel. Double click on Network Connections.
You should see something that says "Local Area Connection". Right Click on Local Area Connection and then left click on Properties.
You will see a screen that looks similar to this:

Click the Internet Protocol [TCP/IP], then click the Properties button. You will see the following Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box:

Leave the top portion as it is and you'll want to concentrate on this portion.

Make sure the dot is next to "Use the following DNS server addresses".
In the two lines you will type in 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
Click on OK, click on OK again and close all windows. ( Be advised, it might take a few seconds for the settings to take effect. This is normal )
Once again try accessing the internet.

I really hate administrative privileges =(
Will have to wait for one of my parents to get home to do this.

I have one more question for you.
Your parents have your computer account set to Limited as you cannot make the changes I just gave you.
Is it possible. Even remotely. That when you cannot access the internet or your game site that your parents may have set a time limit on your browsing or even shut it off for your account?
Just a question. Please don't take it badly.
