Internet Explorer Cannot Display Page

I am connected to a network router but I can't get the internet. I can ping sites by number
but not by name. Same result in IE or Firefox. I've tried so many thing I don't know what
to do.

I think its a classic case of DNS servers not set.

Even when I assign a public DNS server I still can't get to a web site by name. I can ping the server
but no luck with the browser, IE or Firefox. I don't know what else to try.
