I got a new, legitimate disk of ultimate 7, signature series, sealed in the black folder etc., and was given a 64 bit promotional disk disk of 7, not for resale. I went to the shop I have used for years and asked for a completely clean install, stating I wanted everything removed first. Was told that installing the 7 would remove everything first . It didn't remove stuff, so I have 7, 64 bit, that's a mess. Running smart defrag, every other entry seems to be "windows old".. D disk still has the exact same amount of remaining space it did with vista. I'm experiencing the jerkiness I had before when scrolling, plus many of the previous problems.
Making matters worse, the Windows "answer and help section" of the program, states that once installed, 7 can't be completely removed, but merely reinstalled over. I haven't registered yet as requested, but the 3 days requirement expired yesterday. I'm not returning to the shop for a fix, since I was deceived.
Still want a completely clean install if possible, and not reinstalled 7 over 7-vista screw up. Please help and be specific or give listed steps.
