Good day folks.
I have a PC with 2 HDDs. The main drive is what I use, the second is old.
I was looking for a program to convert VOB to iPod. I found one (can't remember where) and downloaded it. I ran AVG Free on it and it came back clean.
I opened the .exe file and I received a quick BSOD and then the PC kept rebooting at the Windows splash screen.
I am running (not sure which version) XP Ultimate by Johnny
I loaded the same OS to my second drive and loaded the vid drivers, AVG Free and Avast on this second drive. I scanned the whole PC and came up with:

AVG
atapi.sys is a threat.

Avast:
Name Original location Last Changed Transfer Time Virus
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A0000038.exe C:\System Volume Information\_restore{AB1EC2AE-0F78-40FE-85D3-F08333944F53}\RP5 5/22/2008 10:54:06 AM 2/13/2010 12:44:04 AM Win32: Trojan-gen

RunOnceEx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32 5/22/2008 10:54:06 AM 2/12/2010 11:30:24 PM
sfrgui.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32 4/25/2008 8:06:32 PM 2/12/2010 11:30:24 PM
sfrgui.exe E:\WINDOWS\system32 4/25/2008 8:06:32 PM 2/13/2010 12:22:53 AM

C is new and E is the old drive.
I am able to get into the old drive but "program files' folder appears to be missing.
any ideas?

Running a computer with 2 AV's installed like that will give you false positives

I am running (not sure which version) XP Ultimate by Johnny from www.winxpu.info.

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
