OK, I've had an odd problem on my PC for several months at this point. It's an annoying little problem where occasionally I'll be in the middle of doing something and the mouse icon will jump to the top right of the screen and attempt to close the program. I'm not sure if it's on a specific time interval because it only happens every 2 hours or so, so it's difficult to monitor. Additionally, after it happens my left mouse button acts like my right mouse button (ie: clicking a desktop icon brings up the menu instead of selecting or opening the program) until I actually right click, then it'll begin acting normally again.

This is really annoying since I do graphic design and sometimes have spent a great deal of time outlining something and then have to start over due to the mouse jump. If it weren't for that I'd live with this issue since 9/10 times I receive a confirmation "do you really want to close this" or "save 1st?" and I don't lose what I'm doing.

1st, I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers for the touchpad. I am virus clean, but I feel this may be a remaining portion of a keylogger or something that might attempt to quickly open and close a window. I use Avast, MalwareBytes, and AdAware which are all 100% clean results, and FW is ZoneAlarm which has not reported any odd activity. The laptop is a Dell D600 running XP SP3.

Any thoughts or suggestions, I'd really appreciate anything to stop this little annoying bug. ~Thx
