Help
So last night, something happened with my external hardrive(I have no idea what, since I fell asleep at the wheel, so to speak) and I woke up today to find that my registry had, for some reason, reset the paths for my favorites, history, cookies and cache to some point within my G:\ area, where the external hardrive was.
After correcting each shell path in the Registry to their proper places, I found that my favorites had indeed been restored, but those in the "Favorites Bar" folder were not showing up on the toolbar at the top of the screen.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue?
(In addition, I have tried resetting IE8 to no avail)
In addition, I don't know why, but my favorites won't stay organized either when I close IE8. I'll set them up a certain way, but as soon as I restart my browser, they have gone back to alphabetical order.
So, any assistance in fixing this would be really appreciated.
FYI, I'm running Windows XP and IE8
