My computer is stuck in a reboot loop. I have tried the different options in the BIOS menu but none work. It's a desktop with XP but i'm not sure which version or which service pack it's running. I don't have an XP disk to boot from. I read a thread on here which seemed to deal with a similar problem but it was for a laptop. I downloaded Ubuntu but I haven't tried running it yet as I would like to know if I can fix things before I re-connect the troubled pc (I only have one monitor and will therefore have to juggle between my working pc). I gather that Ubuntu can help me to recover files on it but is there also a way to get it to work again?
